William Woodward States - that on Sunday
the third of November last
I saw Jones of Pontypool pass through Tredegar
He was on a Bay Horse rather small the Horse (or Mare)
I do not know which had been sweating a good deal
I looked particularly at him as Horse was sweating
very much - this was about four or half past four o'clock
Jones was dressed in a Pilot Cloth Coat - Jones spoke
to three men in front of me Oliver Jenkins - James
Southway - and Jacob Randall three men now
run away from Tredegar -

I recollect Sunday the third of
November last - I saw Jones of Pontypool - I know
him well - I have seen him twice - once on the Stage
once in Dukes Town - and once by Zephaniah Williams'
I saw him pass through Tredegar on Sunday the third
of November - I was coming up from the Tredegar
Company's Stables- It was about 4 or half past
4 o'clock - I had no Watch - William Woodward
was behind me and three other men - Oliver Jenkins
James Southway and Jacob Randall - Jones was
riding on a small Bay Horse on a trot and fast as he
passed me he Galloped
