William Woodward states - That on Sunday the
third of November last I
saw Jones of Pontypool pass through Tredegar - He
was on a Bay Horse rather small - the Horse (or Mare)
I do not know which had been sweating a good deal
I looked particularly at him as his horse was sweating
very much This was about four or half past four
o'clock - Jones was dressed in a Pilot Cloth Coat
Jones spoke to three men in front of me - Oliver
Jenkins - James Southway and Jacob Randall
three men now run away from Tredegar -

David Thomas Collier works in Tredegar states -
I recollect Sunday the third
of November last - I saw Jones of Pontypool - I know
him well - I have seen him twice - once on the stage
in Dukes Town and once by Zephaniah Williams'
I saw him pass through Tredegar on Sunday the third
of November - I was coming up from the Tredegar
Company's Stables - It was about 4 or half past 4
o'clock - I had no Watch - William Woodward was
behind me and three other men - Oliver Jenkins
James Southway and Jacob Randall - Jones was
riding on a small Bay Horse on a trot and fast
as he passed me he Galloped -
