John Branson - I am a Retailer of
Beer at Pillgwenlly - on Monday
morning the 4th November instant
the day of the Riots Prisoner Jenkin
Morgan was at my House - Nothing
passed between us - I said nothing
to him nor he to me - He merely left
his Milk and went away- I have
seen him since the Riots - It was on
Wednesday the 6th November on the
Tram at Pillgwenlly - I believe he
had his tin in his hand- He was
coming towards Pill - I was standing
near the Tram Road when the
Prisoner came by, I was talking to another man
John Edwards -(a Labourer also living at
Pillgwenlly)- Edwards asked Prisoner
what he, Prisoner, thought of the Chartists
now- Prisoner replied "the same as
ever"- Edwards observed "Your
Leader is gone "- Prisoner went on
and I went home to my house- This
is all I know about him-
