I asked Mrs Morgan Wednesday Even[in]g
where her Husband was she said he was
at work in Newport that she had been up
there with his Tea- I asked her if he
had constant work there she said No
only for a few days - Jenkin Morgan
is a Milkman and he was constantly
in the habit of carrying about Milk Morn[in]g
& Even[in]g and it was very unusual for him
to be as long from home-
Morgan Jenkins of Pillgwenlly Beerhouse Keeper
states-
On Sunday night last my wife
awoke me and asked what the
knocking next door at Jenkin Morgan's
was - she was alarmed - The knocking
was continued upon times all through
the night- I was alarmed myself -
I never heard knocking there before
we have lived neighbours to them
for the last 15 or 16 months - He is

to bed between 9 & 10 o'clock every
night and rising early between 4 &
5 o'clock - I never knew him stay away
from home so long before-
