Rega v Isaac Phillips / Williams

_______between 13 & 14
Ann Harris ^ daughter of Charles Harris
says I remember the Sunday night when the
Men came down from the Hills - I heard a
great noise & went out and saw the mob knocking
at other people's doors - I came back & told my
father and mother they were still knocking at the
doors & my father and mother & Ann Thomas then
ran out of the house & left the door on the Latch
Directly afterwards two or three men came & asked
me where my father was - I said had none - Where
were my brothers I said I had none but little
ones - Where was the Lodgers - I said he was out
drinking - I should not know them again -
A few minutes after some more men came to the
door & said - there's a famous cleaver & one of
them came in & took, (it was hung up over my
head) as I had one of the children in my arms.
