Met Prisoner with an armed body of men by Sirhowy about 8 o'clock
Sunday Evening ye 3rd Nov. - asked him if the Chartists
were coming, he said he did. Witness said the Soldiers
was sent for, prisoner replied "We should be glad to
see them we would soldier them."

Lodged with prisoner, he was the head of a Chartist
Lodge, that prisoner carried letters every night backwards
& forwards to Frost, that he went to Newport with the
rioters armed, that 3 months previous to the riots
she saw two pikes up the Chimney.

This witness saw Prisoner with the Mob on Sunday
night & accompanied him down to Newport.

Admitted that he went to Stow Hill.

Saw Prisoner at Newport on Monday the 4th standing
at Witness' door, witness said "is it possible that you
came with such a mob" he replied " Mob do you
call it".
