My Dear Sir,

I wrote to you yesterday on the subject
of the delivery of the lists of Witnesses and can
only repeat what I then stated that I feel no
apprehension in being able to make good the proof.
The Examination was made according to the
practice that was adopted on all similar occasions
excepting that it was more minute -

I have written to Mr Phillips by this
post as to our intended arrival at Monmouth
an he no doubt will communicate the contents.
I mentioned in my letter yesterday to Mr Phillips
the prospect of receiving any witnesses who might
be expected to be maltreated or left out of the way
consequently I approve of the steps which have been
