Newport 12th Decr 1839
Dear Sirs
The Post boy by whom I arrived
here (at 3 o'Clock this morning,) returned
before I could by possibility obtain
the information and document for which you
sent me. I have therefore despatched
Richard with same - He waits at
Usk and takes on another Horse -
thus saving time -
I enclose Gazette containing division of Newport &c.
Thomas Davies of the parish of Saint Woolos
in the County of Monmouth Toll Gate keeper
of the Waterloo Gate in the said parish and
also Farm Labourer living in the said Toll
House
Charles Bradgate of the parish of Saint
Woolos in the County of Monmouth Toll Gate
keeper of the Stow Hill Turnpike Gate in the
said parish
