Labour and 'Mormons' meet in the same hall: A master stroke by a young leader
Description
A meeting of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ['Mormons'] at the Bentley Hotel in Merthyr Tydfil in 1924 risked being disturbed by a crowd waiting to attend a political meeting to be held immediately afterwards. President John W. Crofts who was conducting the 'Mormon' meeting showed wisdom beyond his years to prevent both the disturbance and possible antagonism between the two groups.
