Photograph taken of a group of Somersetshire Constabulary officers. It was taken at an unknown location in the Rhondda Valley during the coal strike of 1910 / 1911.

Police officers from many Welsh and English police forces were sent to assist the beleaguered Glamorgan Constabulary, especially during the period known as the Tonypandy Riots.
