Poem by Sergeant Kemahan, WW2

Description

A poem entitled "F.M.A." by Sergeant Kemahan which appears in the autograph book that Adelaide Martin (née Jarman) kept during her time with the Women's Auxiliary Air Force at RAF Little Rissington during World War Two.

[Transcription: "F.M.A." You who have known the boundless quest of wings / And loved the joyous freedom of the skies / Remember when this day is past these things / Have pride that you were one with them / Who kept the flag of freedom high / Lowly in service no glowing badge / But less you were there, they could not fly. Best Wishes Ann. Kemahan Sgt. "Binder-in-Chief" of the night-flyers.]
