The Sale of Work was the annual main fundraiser for St Nicholas Church, Montgomery and continued for about 50 years. It took place in the Town Hall on the 3rd Thursday evening in November. For sale would be cakes, jams, sewing, pies and meat products, as well as a large jumble sale and a raffle. Refreshments would be served. The photograph is likely taken in the late 1950's and features Mrs Jones who started the event.
