Photos of a rare helmet that is in the collection. Written on the inside of the headband are details of the Constable's number, the year 1927 and his head size in Imperial measurement. Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Police was formed in 1908, and in the main, from the area which was previously policed by the 'A' or Merthyr Tydfil Division of the Glamorgan Constabulary.
