In the late 1950s and 1960s Malcolm Capener, a local amateur film-maker shot footage of Tiger Bay and Butetown recording the varied range of events that took place.

In 2021, Kyle Legall and Catrin M S Davies captured present day residents recalling some of the events and people in the film. The film is a combination of the original film and modern day recollections. The piece was created as part of the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage Project, 2021
