Description
Wednesday 13th January 1982, the fifth day of the snow and ice and the first day of the national coal strike. BBC camera crews spent the day in five places throughout Britain.
In this clip bulldozers battle through mountainous drifts to open the road to Aberdaron, an isolated village on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales.
