Ystradgynlais and District Heritage Quilt
Description
Ystradgynlais and District WI organised and created a heritage quilt involving 36 members of the community, during Covid lockdown in 2020. Each contributor was given a basic kit and asked to create a 11" by 11" square to reflect their personal history or memories within the area, particularly related to buildings or the landscape. The result is a beautiful 6' by 6' wall quilt which will be permanently displayed in Ystradgynlais in the near future. We are grateful for a grant from the 15 Minute Heritage project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, CADW and Welsh Government, which made our project possible.
