Circular butter print decorated with a hexagon, Farmers, 1832 [image 1 of 2]

Description

The reverse side is carved with the date 1832. Carmarthenshire farms have a strong tradition of butter and cheese making. Sycamore was chosen for carving into butter prints and other equipment as this wood does not taint the foodstuffs by leaving a taste.
