Description

Mervyn Davies played for Swansea and won 38 caps for Wales between 1969 and 1976. He excelled in the number eight position and won his first international cap against Scotland, winning 17 points to 3.
In 1976, as skipper, Mervn Davies became the most-capped Wales forward, winning his 37th cap to surpass Denzil Williams of Ebbw Vale. Wales beat Ireland to take the Triple Crown for the thirteenth time.
