Stone shots found on the Newport medieval ship

Description

The stone shots on the ship were probablyused as a defensive detterent against pirates and capture. They were probably made by stone masons using a hammer and a chisel and were probably cheaper to make than shots made of iron and other metals. Two of the shots have similar bore sizes of 3.25 inches.
