Description

D J Williams, Lewis Valentine and Saunders Lewis were sentenced to nine months imprisonment following the burning of the government’s bombing school at Penyberth in 1936. The three received enthusiastic support for their stand, and were seen as martyrs for the cause of the Welsh language.

This is a letter from D. J. Williams to Y Ddraig Goch (The Red Dragon), Plaid Genedlaethol Cymru’s magazine shortly before his release in 1937.
