Though the caption for this set of photographs reads 'The Two Mrs Frasers', it is more likely that these are scenes from 'The First Mrs Fraser' by St John Ervine which was performed at Colwyn Bay Repertory Theatre in May 1938. The performance starred Robert Lees, Clara Widdicombe, Patricia Hastings, Rita Dagmur and Dennis Rhyder. The photographs were taken by local photographer Arthur Wrigley. As rep performances only lasted a week, Wrigley would photograph the performance on Monday night and then have them developed and printed overnight to be displayed outside the theatre on the Tuesday.
