Description

Student's admission ticket for professional training at the University College of Swansea. Gwen James had obtained a BA at the University of Oxford in 1942-44 (the period of study was reduced to two years during wartime) and served in the ATS from January 1945 to January 1946, before returning to university to study for the Diploma in Education. The fees due for the year totaled £45/1s/0d: registration fee of £1, lecture and laboratory fees of £42, and SUC amalgamation fee of £2.
