Description
Richard Thomas and Baldwins, the owners of the Ebbw Vale steelworks, were particularly concerned for the welfare of their employees and therefore took care to provide them with opportunities for recreation and leisure. This film clip shows the opening of a Club and Institute which contained a cafe, lounge and bar for the workers.
