Drawing by a Madrid school child in 1937

Description

This drawing shows Loyalist planes dropping propaganda leaflets on the city of Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. The name on the front reads Jose Gonzales Carre, 12 anos. The drawing was brought back to Wales by John Williams Hughes, a volunteer from Anglesey who travelled to Spain to assist with the humanitarian effort during the country's Civil War.
