Description

In this film, we look into Dublin Port and Holyhead, two Celtic port towns that are connected and intertwined by the ferries which serve them. We get to know the history of these routes and the relationships that they continue to nourish. We meet up with Irish and Welsh locals, Gary, Matthew and Gillian, who show us how the journey across the Irish Sea has shaped their family history and inspires them to write about the human connections and the raw natural beauty of the landscape on this fascinating crossing.

Produced by Mother Goose Films. Commissioned by Aberystwyth University as part of the Ports, Past and Present project. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Co-operation Programme.
