After his Investiture in Caernarfon Castle, Prince Charles visited Llandudno. The photograph was taken on the North Parade, by the War Memorial. A new landing stage for the Pier was built in 1969. Early users of this were the Prince of Wales, followed an hour later by Princess Anne, when the Royal Yacht 'Britannia' anchored in the Bay.
