Thomas was the son of Robert Jones and Mary Roberts, who were married on 10th July 1847. Thomas married Elizabeth Ann Humphries on 17th October1900. They had a son Robert who died in December 1993 at Rhuddlan, Clwyd, Wales. Thomas and Elizabeth were the grandparents of Noel Jones, Fiona's father. Thomas died in 1937 and Elizabeth lived until 1962
