The Morning After... - Poem by Andrew Challis
Description
The Morning After...
"It's the morning after the night before,
the world it heard red dragon's roar.
Our boys destroyed The Aussies,
they swatted them away like mozzies.
By Captain Jac proudly led,
for his country Morgan bled.
40 points our dragons
reached,
Davies, Tompkins, Morgan try-line breached.
With the boot Anscombe sublime,
The Aussies a mountain to climb.
The best out there by a country mile,
even Gats managed to smile.
Domination by Wales displayed,
well and truly rained on Eddie's parade.
Onwards Cymru now progress,
Warren's boys deserve no less.
It's the morning after the night before,
this game will go down in Welsh folklore."
