By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of the Opera ‘Faust’ performed in concert form by ‘The Llandilo Choral Society’ at the Drill Hall (Civic Hall / Victoria Hall), Llandeilo on Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26, 1928 at 8pm. The Conductor was Mr P. R. Daniel ARCO; Accompanist was Miss Nancy Jones LRAM; the Presidents were Major J. W. Bishop, Llandeilo; and Lt Col T Lloyd Harries DL JP. Miss Mabel Linwood (the Mezzo-Soprano) has signed the programme. Carey Morris (famous Welsh artist) played the cello in the orchestra.
