Programme of Eisteddfod (Chair) held under the auspices of the Capel Newydd Cultural Society in the Drill Hall in Llandeilo / Llandilo on Saint David's Day, 1 March 1927
Description
By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. At one time, several eisteddfodau were held in the town each year, such as the 'Semi-National Eisteddfod', the children's eisteddfod, and chapel eisteddfodau, such as this example that was held at the Drill Hall (Civic Hall today). Some competitions were adjudicated by Amanwy.
