The book "Dolgarrog : An Industrial History" by Eric Jones & David Gwyn records this as the lowering of Uxbridge down the Dolgarrog Incline after the completion of the Eigau Dam contract in 1911. Uxbridge was a 0-6-0 Hunslet built in 1902 that had previously been working on the Harrow & Uxbridge Railway.
