This photograph shows San Carlos bay in the Falkland Islands during the war of 1982. Taken by a RN sailor from the deck of RN frigate HMS Penelope, it shows how vulnerable RN ships in the bay were. They subjected to repeated and sustained air attack from the Argentine air force.
