Manchester House in Market St., now a private residence, has been a draper's shop (1901) and a newsagent and grocer from 1921 until very recent times.
Next to it is the Junior School, which closed on this site in 1965 when larger premises became available at the old Senior Centre building in Orchard Park.The photo was taken in 1942 before the cupola and cross on the school were removed after the 1954 storm.
