Left to right: Mary Hignett, Pauline Phillips, Ruth Marshall (Mary's sister), Marjorie Wainwright.
Allt y Rhiw was the home of John & Pauline Phillips and she was the author of the book "A View of Old Montgomeryshire". Marjorie Wainwright is still the Vice President of the MFS (January 2024) and was one of the co-ordinators and editors of the book "The Flora of Montgomeryshire", published in 1995.
