Born at Ty'n y Ardd, Llanrychwyn in 1830 and educated at Llanrychwyn School and Llanrwst Grammar. Became an apprentice tailor. He married in 1854 and set up his own tailoring business in Llanrwst. Introduced to poetry writing by 'Caledfryn'. Produced two volumes of verse: 'Fy Noswyl' in 1861 and in 1869 'Y Geninen'. He wrote many englynion and was a friend of Gwilym Cowlyd, Dewi Arfon and Scorpion. He died in Llanrwst on 5 August 1877.
