Dowlais Library & Dowlais Visual Art Group team up with local Historian Huw Williams. A free presentation was offered for the local community to appreciate a deeper knowledge and understanding of the area that they live in. Huw did a fantastic job of explaining the links between street names and how they came about. Some were named after battles/wars of the past, some named after royals of the time and others related to specific locations/people and also derived from Welsh words.
