Mair Smith, a member of the Dowlais Visual Art Group, produced this painting of the Fairy Queen after being impressed by the bandstand in Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil. She said, “In the Spring, the park is quite magical. The humorous poem poem followed”. It is painted in watercolours her preferred medium in an A3 sketchbook.
