Description
Here is an example of a three colour reduction lino-cut print created by artist Angela Lennon at Dowlais Library. A sketch was drafted on site at Dowlais main road, near the bus stop outside The Bruce. This sketch was drawn onto the lino in reverse and areas to remain white were removed with a lino-cut tool. The lino was then inked up with a roller. The resulting print taken was the first stage. Further areas were removed to leave the outlines of the scene which would then be printed using a black ink.
