Vicky Mackenzie with the help of art department staff at Merthyr Tydfil College produced this screen print for a collaborative artwork by 10 members of the Dowlais Visual art group. It was for a Valleys Re-Retold project held at the Dowlais Engine House in August 2023. The wash day theme was inspired by a photograph by David Hurn of full washing lines strung between back to back terraced houses in the Valleys. Prints were also produced on a tote back and tea towel.
