Photograph of RAF Walrus aircraft being assisted by RN ship at Scapa Flow
Description
This is a copy of an original photograph taken from the deck of a Royal Navy Minesweeper in Scapa Flow during the second world war. The photograph was in the possession of Royal Navy Stoker Charles Pope, who served throughout the war aboard various ships. He was drafted to several vessels which used Scapa Flow. The photograph is currently in the possession of Charles' son Edward and remains with the family.
