This photograph shows was in the possession of Charles Pope, a Royal Navy Veteran, whom served aboard HMS Sardonyx between 1st Dec 1936 and 29th April 1938, This photograph and a larger version, along with Photographs of Charles and the ships he served on, as well as more documentation can be viewed in the Charles Pope collection on the West Wales Veterans archive. The photograph is in the possession of Charles' son Edward and remains with the family.
