Description

Chest hospital, Machynlleth. 1940's. A page from Julia Gunn's Aberhosan family history about her grandfather Gomer Jones who had Tuberculosis and was a patient at the hospital. This was written by Julia's mother Moira Rowlands who was Gomer's daughter. In the 1900's, Moira herself was a regular patient there and passed away in the hospital in 2004. I can't praise the staff enough for the care they gave her and Dr Mahendra Upadyay, Dr Ruth Hughes and Dr Thanu Thapa were very caring doctors who treated five generations of my family.
