This is a copy of an original photograph belonging to John "Bob" Roberts RN retired, who was a Petty Officer aboard HMS Loch Fada, when the photograph of her crew was taken in 1956. The photograph shows the draft that crewed the ship on the 1956 deployment to the Persian Gulf. John "Bob" Roberts joined the Navy in 1943 and served until 1967. Interviews recorded with John, as well as photographs and material relating to his long career, can be viewed online in the John Roberts collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples collection Wales website.
