This is a copy of an original photograph belonging to Mr John Roberts. John grew up in this cottage, living with his aunt and uncle, throughout the 1930's and early 1940's. John's uncle was a local gamekeeper near Upton upon Severn. John "Bob" Roberts left the cottage when he joined the Navy in 1943. In the image his aunt and uncle can be seen standing by the front door. John's memoirs of living in this cottage can be read and heard online in the John Roberts collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples collection Wales website.
