This is a narrative account of the service career of Mr David Ian Griffiths, known as "Dai" to his family and friends. At the age of 91 years, Dai gave an interview to Age Cymru Dyfed in December 2024, in which he talked about his childhood, joining the Royal Air Force and his experiences serving in Cyprus and Germany in the mid to late 1950's. Video footage of the interview, as well as photographs can be viewed online in the David Griffiths collection on the Peoples Collection Wales website at the West Wales Veterans Archive. This document is a narrative account that accompanies the interview.
