This is a photograph of the motorcycle that RAF Airman David "Dai" Griffiths owned in Cyprus when he was serving on the island with 34 squadron RAF Regiment in the mid to late 1950s. Dai rode service motorcycles whilst on duty and decided to purchase his own and enjoy exploring the island himself, during his off duty periods. The signpost offers a clue to the adventure Dai was enjoying on the day the photograph as taken. He loved the bike so much, he imported it back to the UK and enjoyed many years of ownership.
