Description

This is a photograph owned by Mr Dai Griffiths RAF retired, whom served as a RAF Regiment Gunner in 34 squadron in Cyprus during the 1950s. Pictured in the photograph is a friend of Dai's astride a motorcycle on an RAF base in Cyprus. Dai owned his own motorcycle in Cyprus and along with some colleagues also undertook convoy and VIP escort duties riding motorcycles. Dai's memoirs of Cyprus and his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
