RAF Ammo boots 1950s
Description
This is a photograph of a pair of Royal Air Force issue "Ammo" boots that belong to RAF Veteran David "Dai" Griffiths, who served in the RAF Regiment in the 1950s. Dai kept the boots when discharged and used them at work in his trade as a Carpenter. Amazingly he has kept them stored away in his garage and they are a remarkable reminder of his RAF service. Dai's memoirs of Cyprus and his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
