This photo of Gelert was taken at the Blaencorse milkstand in the early 1980s. The milk stand was already redundant from the early 1970s introduction of bulk milk collections. Blaencorse was the first farm in the area to switch from churns to a bulk tank.

Blaencorse was farmed by Gerwyn and Martha Griffiths when the stand was last used and as of 2025 has been in the Griffiths family for six generations.

The milk stand has been demolished
