Description
John Tyllwyd - ( John James - Fferm Tyllwyd, Felingwm Uchaf) speaks of the influence and importance of the milk stand on his life. He describes it as being a book of his life and regrets it's demolition.
Tyllwyd's milk stand stood opposite nearby St Johns church where many friends and family are buried. The location of the stand near the churchyard reminded John of these individuals everyday.
John's father died when John was 16, he then helped his mother run the farm and he stills runs it today. Having moved from dairy to beef some 25 years ago.
John spoke with Anthony Rees of the Carmarthenshire Milk stand project. Photos of the Tyllwyd milk stand are available on the Peoples Collection of Wales website, tagged Felngwm. April 24
